""Ki Eleicha" was blessed with the lovely rich tones of guest mezzo-soprano Megan Wilson, who soared over the supportive chorus."
- The Schenectady Gazette, June 2015
Mezzo-soprano Megan Gebert Wilson holds Bachelor of Music degrees in vocal performance and music education from Ithaca College, NY and a Master of Music degree in vocal performance from the University of Louisville, KY. Praised as a singer who "effortlessly wraps you around her wonderful voice" with "incredible instincts and an understanding of the lyric," the Capital District native brings a level of artistry to her performances that only a professional musician could bring. Every song is a story, sung with a voice that is beautiful not only in its warmth and richness, but in its sincerity. Accomplished, experienced and versatile, Megan has over ten years of professional experience across many different genres (classical, opera, jazz, musical theatre, cabaret, pop, etc.). Although she was trained as a classical singer, in recent years she has found success as a jazz vocalist, performing a repertoire of over two hundred of the great jazz standards and more. In addition, Megan is an experienced church musician, having worked extensively as a section leader, cantor and featured soloist with local church and community choruses.
Megan's debut jazz CD, "Take One," is available through cdbaby.com.
