Megan began her studio teaching in 2007. For her, teaching is more than a job; it is a passion. She considers it a privilege to be able to help students realize their vocal potential and loves seeing and hearing their progress along the way. Megan's students encompass a wide range of ages and ability levels, from young students to adults and beginners to advanced singers. Although many of her students have gone on to pursue music careers at top universities, her students include those who wish to study voice professionally, and those who study simply for their own enjoyment.
Megan's goal as a teacher is to help each student make the most of his/her voice and to learn how to be an independent musician -- a singer who is confident and secure both in technique and in performance. She offers instruction in classical, musical theatre, jazz and pop. Lessons focus on posture, breathing, vocal technique and musical development.
In addition to her studio teaching, Megan is an adjunct voice faculty member at Russell Sage College and the Emma Willard School, both in Troy, NY. She is a member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing).
Interested students are invited to meet with Megan for a free 30 minute consultation before scheduling lessons. Please contact Megan at firstname.lastname@example.org.
